Keyology

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 22, 2026

1. Introduction

At Keyology, we value your privacy and want you to understand how your personal information is collected, used, and shared.

This Privacy Policy explains the information practices of Brittney Pressley Studios, LLC, operating as Keyology ("Keyology," "we," "us," or "our").

It applies to personal information collected through keyologypiano.com, our Podia storefront and course platform at learn.keyologypiano.com, email signup forms, course enrollment, support, and related communications. Keyology is responsible for the personal-information practices described in this policy; providers may also process information for their own purposes under their separate policies.

Our website is:

https://www.keyologypiano.com

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@keyologypiano.com.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information.

Information you provide directly

When you subscribe to our email list, join PatternPiano Priority Access, make a purchase, or contact us, you may provide:

  • Your first and last name.
  • Your email address.
  • Information submitted through website forms.
  • Messages or questions sent to our support team.
  • Information necessary to establish and maintain your student account.

Our Priority Access form requires your first name and email address; your last name is optional.

Purchase and account information

When you purchase a Keyology product, our course platform and payment providers may process information such as:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • Products purchased.
  • Purchase dates and transaction amounts.
  • Payment status and transaction identifiers.
  • Account information associated with course access.

Payment-card information is processed by the applicable payment provider.

Keyology does not need to receive complete payment-card numbers to administer course purchases.

Course activity

Our course-delivery platform may process information relating to your student account and educational activity.

Depending on the platform's functionality, this may include course enrollment, lesson access, progress information, and account activity.

Communications information

When you receive emails from Keyology, Kit and Podia process information about email delivery and engagement through their available reporting features.

This can include whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, subject to your email settings and applicable technology.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for purposes including:

Providing our services

To process purchases, provide course access, deliver educational materials, and maintain student accounts.

Communicating with you

To send purchase confirmations, account information, course announcements, and responses to support requests.

Email marketing

To send educational content, product announcements, Priority Access information, and other communications to subscribers in accordance with applicable law and their communication preferences.

Customer support

To respond to questions and help resolve problems involving purchases or course access.

Operating and improving our business

To maintain our website and services, troubleshoot technical problems, understand how our programs are used, and improve the customer experience.

Legal and security purposes

To maintain appropriate business records, protect our services, investigate potential misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Email Marketing and Subscriber Preferences

Keyology uses Kit to manage email subscriptions and marketing communications. Podia also provides customer-communication and email features, including email-open tracking. Our current Podia configuration automatically subscribes new account holders to its marketing email list; it does not require a separate marketing opt-in checkbox. Our Priority Access form enrolls people who submit it to receive the updates described beside the form.

When you voluntarily subscribe to our email list or join PatternPiano Priority Access, we may use your information to send relevant educational content, launch announcements, and product updates.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.

You may also contact support@keyologypiano.com for assistance with your subscription preferences.

Unsubscribing from marketing messages does not necessarily stop transactional or account-related communications, such as purchase confirmations or important notices relating to a course you purchased.

You can ask us to stop marketing communications using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support@keyologypiano.com. Unsubscribing is different from requesting deletion of your personal information.

5. Course Purchases and Delivery

Keyology uses Podia to host and deliver online educational programs.

When you purchase a course, personal information is processed through Podia and connected payment services to complete the transaction and provide access to purchased materials. Stripe is connected for payment processing. Depending on the payment method offered and selected at checkout, additional payment services may process information needed for that transaction.

Podia processes student account and course information, including lesson-completion and course-progress information. It also supports account authentication, course delivery, customer communications, and platform security.

Podia's own privacy practices are described in its applicable privacy documentation.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Technical Information

Our website and course platform use cookies and similar technologies for functionality, security, and service operation. Our website also includes platform analytics and event reporting used to understand visits, monitor performance, and troubleshoot problems.

These technologies may process browser and device information, session and page-view identifiers, visited pages, referring pages, interaction events, performance measurements, and error information. Receiving hosting services can also receive connection information such as IP addresses. Some analytics code is configured to include full page URLs, which can include query strings.

The website currently loads platform analytics and event-reporting code automatically, before any visitor consent interaction. It does not currently provide an on-site analytics accept/reject or withdrawal control. Its page-analytics code is configured to use a session identifier cookie with a 30-minute lifetime. Hosting and security services may use additional cookies. A cookie's expiry does not establish how long associated server records are retained.

Our website is built through Lovable and uses platform hosting and edge infrastructure, including Cloudflare. Our website also requests fonts from Google Fonts. Requests for fonts and other externally delivered resources can disclose browser and connection information to the relevant provider.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality or account access. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop all technical information or event reporting.

7. How We Share Information

We may disclose personal information to service providers that help operate Keyology, including:

Website and hosting providers

To maintain and deliver our website and its functionality.

Email service providers

We use Kit for email subscriptions and marketing communications, Podia for its customer-communication features, and Google Workspace to receive and manage support email. These providers process the contact information and message content needed for those activities.

Course-delivery platforms

To provide student accounts, educational content, and course access.

Payment processors

To process transactions, manage payment-related information, and help prevent fraud.

Technical and operational service providers

To support business operations, maintain security, and troubleshoot technical issues.

We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights or safety, or address suspected misuse of our services.

We may disclose relevant information in connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

8. Data Security

Our website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. Our services rely on account-based access through the providers described in this policy. Technical error reporting may include request or provider-response information; messages and error responses can contain personal information.

Our services rely in part on third-party platforms that maintain their own security measures.

No website, online platform, or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, please contact support@keyologypiano.com.

9. Data Retention

We currently have no established routine deletion schedule for subscriber records, support correspondence, or customer-data exports. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not necessarily delete your information from our systems.

Information may remain in the services we use unless it is deleted through a specific action or a provider's applicable processes. Provider retention and backup practices may differ from one service to another.

Some purchase and business records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, legal, or dispute-related purposes. To request deletion of personal information, contact support@keyologypiano.com. We will assess requests in accordance with applicable law, including any required retention.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

These may include rights to:

  • Request access to certain personal information.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of certain information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
  • Request restriction of processing or object to processing where applicable.
  • Request a portable copy of certain information where applicable.
  • Complain to the relevant data-protection authority, including your local supervisory authority in the EEA or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Exercise additional privacy rights provided by applicable law.

To submit a privacy-related request, contact:

support@keyologypiano.com

We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where EU or UK data-protection request rules apply, this is generally within one calendar month, subject to permitted extensions and other applicable rules. Exercising applicable privacy rights does not require you to remain subscribed to marketing.

Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or other legitimate purposes.

11. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website and educational programs may contain links to third-party websites or services.

These may include course platforms, video-hosting services, payment processors, and other external resources.

We do not control the independent privacy practices of those third parties.

We encourage you to review the applicable privacy policies of services you choose to use.

12. Children's Privacy

PatternPiano is intended for adult learners. We do not verify every visitor’s or purchaser’s age, and our website and educational services are not directed to children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through our services, contact support@keyologypiano.com so we can review the circumstances and handle the information as required by applicable law. Our intended audience does not override the account-eligibility rules of the platforms we use.

13. International Visitors

Keyology operates from the United States. The services we use may process or store personal information in the United States and other countries, whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Processing locations vary by provider and activity.

For information about a provider’s processing and contractual safeguards, you can review Kit’s Data Processing Addendum, Podia’s Data Processing Addendum, and the relevant Google and hosting-provider privacy documentation. These provider documents do not replace Keyology’s own responsibilities.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis depends on the activity: performance of a contract or steps requested before a contract for purchases and course access; legal obligations for required business records; consent for marketing and tracking where required; and legitimate interests, where permitted, in operating, securing, supporting, and improving our services. Legitimate interests do not replace consent where consent is required. You may contact us for information about processing affecting you, applicable rights, or international-transfer arrangements.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the effective date.

We will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
